Doctor, engineer and diploma in business management at IESE. Mr. Sánchez-Terán was National President and International Vice President of Youth of Catholic Action and has directed important Spanish companies: Director of SEOPAN and RENFE, President of Telefónica, SIDERINSA, Nissho Motor España and Euroglosa 45.

Mr. Sánchez-Terán was Vice President of the College of Civil Engineers and later undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works. During the Transition was civil governor of Barcelona and agreed with Tarradellas the restoration of the Generalitat; advisor to the president of the government Adolfo Suárez; congressman for Salamanca in the Constituent Parliament and in the first legislature; Minister of Transport and Communications and Minister of Labor in the UCD governments. He has been president of the Social Council of the University of Salamanca for 16 years.
